Mayra Flores Tavares

Mayra is a fellow of the Climate protection Program at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. She holds an agronomy engineer's degree and a master's degree in Forest Resources, both from the University of São Paulo. She also concluded a Postgraduate course in Environmental Management at the Technische Universität Dresden (TU Dresden- CIPSEM). Her research project aims to comprehend the motivation and social characteristics of rural landowners who have participated in ecological restoration projects compared to those who have not engaged in restoration projects. Based on this social analysis, she intends to design mobilization strategies to increase rural landowners' engagement in ecological restoration on the Atlantic Forest biome in Brazil.
